Question: Do I need to pay for membership for World of Warcraft or what do I do? I heard all I need to do is buy the game, download it, and then I can play it all I want to. My one friend is really encouraging me to join World of Warcraft. I know people say it is one of those nerdy games but I don't know. I will be very quiet about me being on World of Warcraft if I were to join. I have never played World of Warcraft before. I have played Spore at a friends house before and it was fun. " - by " Jack
Answer: World of Warcraft is better in the long run, because you can play it for longer than you can Spore. Spore gets pretty old pretty quick, but World of Warcraft could last you a few good months and maybe longer. Just be aware that World of Warcraft *does* have a monthly fee of $14.99.

No you will not lose anything. You will get to keep your character and everything that you did up through your trial. Some good websites out there are Thottbot.com and Wowhead.com. Thottbot is very useful for helping you with quests and such. Wowhead will be good for you when you want to look up gear (this is not important in the beginning). Thottbot is definitely VERY beginner friendly and you could begin using it right away. World of Warcraft is a great game. Have fun in Azeroth!

Answer: World of Warcraft (or WoW) is one of the better MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games) out there. I've played a lot of MMORPGs, and I really think WoW solved a lot of problems that arose in other games. It's a good casual game, because if you log your character out in an inn or a main city, you will get rest bonus and get double experience when you kill things for a little while, making it easier to keep up with your buddies if you don't play as much as they do. For the most part, people are friendly, and will group with you and help you if you have a question. You can join a guild and your guildmates will help you with quests and maybe getting equipment. The penalties for dying aren't too bad, since you don't lose your experience. There is one expansion out, the Burning Crusades, but you don't need to worry about getitng that until you have a higher level character, since that expansion gives you great places to level when you're past level 60. You can get to level 70 currently, but even after you're max level there's lots to do, like getting really good equipment, a better mount, or you can do PvP (Player vs Player), and build up ranks in you're server. From that you can get better equipment and make your character much stronger. And there's always exploring as well, which is very fun because the land of WoW is very vibrant and pleasing to wander around in. Also, there's two different races, Horde and Alliance. Everyone says Alliance is good and Horde is evil, but that's not true and only people who don't understand the storyline of Warcraft think that. Go to www.worldofwarcraft.com and check it out more for more information. But it's really a great game, and still plenty of fun to play, even if your real life buddies won't play. Maybe they'll see you playing and will want too! And if they call you names, don't worry about it. you should do what you want to have a good time (as long as it's safe I suppose). If they have a problem with that, then they just aren't very nice friends. One more thing, don't get addicted! Some people go crazy for the game, and that's just unhealthy. Remember to take breaks and still go outside! But enjoy it, if you decide to play. Hope that helps...

Answer: Umm...I play World of Warcraft but I'd personally say buy a Xbox 360, because it's much more expensive. It would take you longer to save money yourself for an Xbox 360 then it would for you to save money for World of Warcraft. Also, you have to pay the $15 monthly fee for World of Warcraft as well, although you'll also have to pay for new games for the Xbox 360. It all depends on how much you want an Xbox 360, or how much you want World of Warcraft. Although again, I personally would get the 360. Also, if you don't have one yet, I recommend a Wii. They are a lot of fun, but if you mainly play by yourself, get a Xbox 360 or PS3. The Wiis are a lot of fun, but only if you have more than one person.

Answer: World of Warcraft is an amazing and intricate game. When you get an item, it shows up on your person. 99% of the items look different. It takes the generic *kill monsters and get stuff* to a new level. Questing is in many MMORPGs (Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Games.) World of warcraft has plots, stories, and the like. You can choose from 10 races and many classes. Race determines appearance and abilities, class determines EVERYTHING about your game. You may have up to 10 characters on each "server." You can have 10 characters on each server, but you will likely get attached to friends on a particular one, and become fond of a particular character. It is an amazing game, but *only* if you have time. I have spent 280+ hours on the game, according to the tool it has. Too lazy to log on and get specifics. All in all, I have made friends, enemies, and even learned from the game! How to sell things and how to interact with people are huge things on the game. Answer: World of Warcraft is a gaming company blizzard's MMORPG. For starters, when you get the game it is a pain to download from the site so if you do end up getting it or are convinced to just go to EBGames or Gamestopa and buy the CD version. The game itself has a lot of things going on. First you create a character from a number of races, having only one of them being human and the rest inhuman. Then you pick a class which is almost like what your character does for a living such as using bows and arrows, being a warrior, a wizard, etc. Once your character is created you are really limited to a few things. That's when you start to level up doing quests. Eventually you get into quests or tasks where you have to kill more deadlier monsters and you die more frequently. With this leveling you can also meet new friends along the way and go into major cities and buy and sell stuff. On top of leveling up and doing quests you can also take on a profession. These professions can help you create weapons and stuff for your character or you can use them to make stuff to sell for money. You can level up these professions to make new things. It's all really a cycle of killing things, selling stuff, making stuff, buying stuff and killing more things. It is actually quite fun as the environments can change quite drastically when you explore the game, and since it is online they do update it a lot such as having Haloween decorations for Haloween. For 15 bucks a month, being a current player of the game, I suggest it because it is worth it. Just a side note though, do not get addicted to it. A lot of people do get addicted and trust me, also being a former adictee it can ruin your social life and also wear off the novelty of the game, making it not as fun for awhile.

I'm biased, because I've played WoW for a long time... ...but I had a few friends that bought Warhammer right when it came out.. 3 months later they were back on World of Warcraft. I've been playing since 2005, and there hasn't been many days where I haven't logged in for at least a couple minutes. WoW has gigantic replay value. once you reach the max lvl (currently 80), there are still tons of things you can do. (player vs player, daily quests, raids, etc)
